Café Milligram

Café Milligram is a cute little coffee shop and café at Marina One. I’ve eaten here a couple of times, and though its been a while since I visited here, I still have good memories of this place. They’re an Australian café that has expanded here in Singapore.

The Ambience, Service and Staff

Café Milligram in Marina One in Singapore’s CBD. Their interior is part American Diner, and part Arboreal. The green and white tones with the wooden surfaces offer a relaxed atmosphere, and the high ceilings and hanging plants add a sense of sanctuary. We’d made a reservation through Chope. Their friendly had us seated straight away, and provided us with menus.

The Food

We were a party of two during our visit.

We ordered a bowl of sweet potato fries, the Avo Corny Chicken and the Sous Vide Salmon Rice Bowl.

The sweet potato fries are very well made, and served hot and fresh. The Avo Corny Chicken was served on a croissant that was a wee bit flat. The filling o f chicken, mayo and fresh avocado was very well made which more than made up for the experience. It was served with chips and a siraracha sauce that had kick to it. The Sous Vide Salmon was served with brown rice (we’d asked for a smaller portion of rice) and an assortment of vegetables. We felt that the portion of salmon was a slightly small and recognise that it may have been just that one piece on the day.

The Price Point

Our meal set us back just under $50. This is decent value for the location, the ambience, and quantity and quality of food.

The Final Verdict

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Café Milligram offers a nice little respite from the work day, and is a great place to get coffee, breakfast and lunch with colleagues during the work day. They offer a relaxed environment, and decent service.
